Last year, we added two new Topic Centers to Bloom’s Literature—Fine Art and World of Dance—that greatly expanded the award-winning literature database’s coverage of the fine and performing arts. Now, Bloom’s Literature users can easily access those Topic Centers and more with the new Fine and Performing Arts Topic Centers slider on the home page.
Here’s what the new slider puts within easy reach:
- Fine Art: The richly illustrated Fine Art Topic Center provides comprehensive coverage of the world of visual art, with thousands of high-resolution images, more than 1,500 biographical entries on great artists, in-depth overview articles on major artistic periods and movements, and more than 50 full-length videos on artistic subjects from such producers as the BBC and National Geographic.
- World of Dance: The World of Dance Topic Center features thousands of entries on dance, dancers, and related topics, along with images and full-length dance videos that provide a crucial look at dancers in action. This Topic Center allows users to explore various genres of dance, including forms indigenous to particular regions and cultures, contemporary styles, and more.
- Classical Literature: The Classical Literature Topic Center features in-depth overviews, biographical entries, and videos on Classical literature, with a particular emphasis on Classical drama. Learn more about Classical tragedy, comedy, epics, odes, mythology, and more.
Bloom’s Literature has won two BESSIEs and an EDDIE, has been awarded Platinum Distinction in the Modern Library Awards (MLAs), and was a Library Journal Best Database selection. Take a free trial today to find out why there’s “much ado” about Bloom’s!
