Infobase is pleased to announce that exciting enhancements have just been made to World News Digest: new Week in Review and That Day in History features, plus a redesigned home page that brings more of the content in the database front and center. The result is a more streamlined, powerful, and engaging research experience.
Some highlights of the redesign:
- New Week in Review Feature: This new feature at the top of the home page spotlights timely, hot-button topics of the week. Users can click on any item to link to a wide range of editorially curated content about that topic, including news articles, social media reactions, videos, editorial cartoons, and infographics. To view a complete list of Week in Review issues, click on “View All” at the top or select “Week in Review Index” from the Resources menu at the top of the page.
- New That Day in History Feature: This new feature allows users to search a specific date for all the news that happened that day. Students can find out what took place on their birthdays or other important dates, while researchers can search for upcoming anniversaries of major events or just get a snapshot of all the developments from notable dates in history.
- Redesigned Home Page: The home page now includes additional content for easier, more immediate access to the extensive range of material in the database. In addition to the new Week in Review and That Day in History features, the home page calls out Hot Topics, Landmark Events in History, People in the News, Countries in the News, Special Feature, Resources, and Recent News.
- Plus, Expanded 2016 Elections Guide: The 2016 Elections Guide features new coverage of the election aftermath, the presidential transition process, and detailed statistics and electoral maps breaking down the results of the presidential and congressional races.
