Customer Training—Celebrate National Poetry Month with Help from THE WORLD ALMANAC® FOR KIDS and THE WORLD ALMANAC® FOR KIDS ELEMENTARY

National Poetry Month isn’t just for high school and college English classrooms. Younger students can also be introduced to poetry, both in terms of studying famous poets and also by learning how to write their own poems. Thankfully, Infobase has two databases that are perfect for the occasion! The World Almanac for Kids Elementary, a database specifically for elementary classrooms, has several articles that will help teachers introduce their emerging writers to various types of poetry and also teach them how poetry is very different from other types of writing. The World Almanac for Kids includes a number of full-length biographies that will help upper elementary and middle school students learn about the lives of some of the world’s most beloved poets and read samples of their most famous poems.
