Ferguson’s Career Guidance Center: New Career Q & A Video Interviews

We are delighted to announce an exciting new enhancement to Ferguson’s Career Guidance Center: new Career Q&A: Professional Advice and Insight videos. This new series of video interviews—36 to start, with more on the way—lets users get a no-nonsense, insider’s perspective from working professionals across multiple industries, including actors, dentists, fashion designers, Internet security specialists, special education teachers, and more.

What Is a Career Q&A Video?

In each Career Q&A video, a working professional answers 10 questions about his or her job, education, and industry—from the main duties, how the interviewee got started in his or her career, and required education or training, to the workplace atmosphere, a typical day on the job, the industry’s main goals and challenges, advice to young people entering the profession, and much more. The interviewees hail from a range of locations all over the country and include a mix of seasoned pros and younger workers.

How to Access the Career Q&A Videos

You can either simply click on the new “Career Q&A Videos” on the right-hand side to access a full list of the available Q&A videos, or select from the “Explore Industries & Careers” drop-down menu at the top of the page.

Also, from the Profession profiles that feature these new videos, you can click on the new “Watch Career Q&A Video” icon that displays at the top of the page to see the video.

The segments in each video are conveniently listed on the right in the video player, making it easy to go directly to the part of the video that most interests you.
