Ready, Set, Library Marketing

Offered during Library Week 2024 (which had the theme “Ready, Set, Library!”), this webinar aims to help librarians get students ready to use the library year-round and promote to faculty the online resources that can help students train foundational research skills. In this presentation, librarian Henrietta Thornton discusses ways you can market your Infobase resources and the library generally. (Hint: tell users what’s in it for them.)

Henrietta (Etta) Thornton

Henrietta (Etta) Thornton, a librarian and author of the Credo IL Strategy Handbook, is Infobase’s Information Literacy Content and Strategy Manager. She previously worked at public libraries, where one of her favorite tasks was helping elderly patrons learn to use email, and at an academic institution, where she developed IL curricula and taught science and engineering undergrads to find reliable research materials. Etta then worked for years as an editor at School Library Journal and Library Journal.
