Character Matters Module Adds Read Aloud for Kids

New Character Matters Module
Character education plays an important role in schools today. The World Almanac for Kids Online now offers a new module for it. It is called Character Matters.
The new Character Matters module is organized into seven key areas:
- Being Fair and Honest
- Dealing with Bullying
- Handling Peer Pressure
- Teamwork and Respect
- Managing Responsibilities
- Dealing with Frustration and Anger
- Managing Conflict Resolution.
Engaging videos and helpful articles explain key virtues and common social issues. They also offer tips and strategies. These help students build good character. They also help students handle hard situations in a healthy way. The Fun Facts articles and interactive crossword puzzle and word search add some fun to this important topic.
New Read Aloud Tool
Students now have an accessible new way to “listen” to articles in The World Almanac® for Kids Online with the new Read Aloud tool. On any article page, simply click the “Read Aloud” link just below the article title, and a player will appear below it. Read Aloud is especially helpful for English as a Second or Foreign Language learners, students with reading challenges, or those with a visual impairment but can be a useful tool for anyone.
