Information Literacy-Core: Helping University of Northern Iowa Rod Library Teach Information Literacy

This month’s issue of Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) ‘s College & Research Libraries News spotlights the challenges that the University of Northern Iowa Rod Library faced in teaching information literacy–and how they successfully turned to Credo’s Information Literacy – Core for the solution.

Credo Information Literacy – Core uses innovative technology and proven pedagogy to build essential information literacy and critical-thinking skills that will help students thrive in their academic careers and beyond. It includes more than 100 videos, tutorials, and assessments on, for example, finding a research topic, locating relevant information in various formats, critical thinking, and college writing. Created by librarians and curriculum designers, the standards-based, ADA-compliant material helps students in any major comprehend and synthesize print and digital information in the library and online.
