African American History Online Video Feature Strengthens Research

Infobase Learning has announced its latest update of African-American History Online video feature. It highlights a new “Focus on History through Video” section on the home page. The section spotlights the engaging videos included in the database.

Each time the site reloads, the user will see a new video in the player, chosen from an editor-picked selection. Click the “Go to Video Gallery” link below the video screen in that feature. It will take the user to a new gallery with all videos in the database.

Also new, users can now filter the video gallery by era. It helps students, researchers, and instructors find clips from a specific time in African-American history. Among the standout new newsreels are “Booker T. Washington Is Enshrined in the Hall of Fame,” “Joe Louis and Bill Conn Sign for a Title Bout,” and “Torpedo Boats.”

The new video player improves the acclaimed database by highlighting key video coverage. It lets users explore history by watching footage from the time. Additionally, it reinforces context and depth to their understanding of events in African American history.

This new feature adds to African-American History Online‘s valuable content formats. These include primary sources, images, timelines, biographies, maps and charts, and subject entries. It helps explore the African-American experience in a visual and thorough way.
