Learn360, Infobase’s multimedia solution for K–12 schools and districts, has earned yet another award—it won the 2025 EdTech Cool Tool Awards from EdTech Digest in the “content provider solution” category.

The EdTech Awards are the largest and most competitive recognition program in all of education technology. The awards program shines a spotlight on cool tools, leaders, and trendsetters across the K–12, higher ed, and skills and workforce sectors. Finalists and winners are chosen based on seven key elements that apply to products and services: workability, results, attractiveness, interest, message delivery, support, and potential.

We’re following up this great honor with a conversation we had with Emily Ice, Infobase’s Director of K–12 Product Segment, who works with Learn360 Acquisitions Manager Crystal Cizmar and Senior Director of Licensing Strategy Sharon Golan, about what makes Learn360 a Cool Tool.

What do you think makes Learn360 stand apart from the competition?

Emily Ice: Learn360 has many amazing features, but I think what makes Learn360 stand apart from the competition is our high-quality content. Learn360 provides schools with licensed content from trusted, education-focused producers. Across grade levels and subject areas, Learn360 is carefully curated to ensure that educators and librarians have access to the best in quality, instructional content.

How does Learn360 meet the needs of today’s K–12 educators and students?

EI: Today’s K–12 educators and students need educational resources that can support all students. Learn360 offers engaging content for all subjects and grades. Best of all, it provides a variety of content types to meet different student needs and interests, from bite-size videos that capture students’ attention to interactive lessons and games to assess student understanding. Learn360 has resources that captivate student interest and extend student learning.

What do you think are Learn360’s top features for users?

EI: Learn360 use often starts with a school leader or educator, but student use and learning guide our platform. I think the top feature is how easily content can be shared with students. There are so many features to enhance the student experience as they engage with content. From Google Classroom integration to curated playlists, Learn360’s features ensure schools can connect students with the best in quality educational content to drive learning.

What is some of the most valuable content that educators need/request/use?

EI: We recently published a blog highlighting some of Learn360’s most popular programs. Every school and classroom is unique. Right now, I’ve been watching Lyla in the Loop on repeat, because I love how it integrates computational thinking into everyday tasks. That said, one of the many benefits of Learn360 is that it provides incredible content across the curriculum. Educators truly value the ability to customize the content to fit their needs. With customizable sliders and a robust admin portal, we help educators find content that they love, and customize the platform to come back to it repeatedly.

Are there any “hidden gems” on Learn360 you’d like to highlight?

EI: Our student-friendly interface and intuitive filters ensure that none of our amazing content or features stay hidden for long! We’re especially proud of Learn360 Topic Centers, a feature directly inspired by our users. We noticed educators using our videos, games, and other assets in innovative ways, so we bundled them into Topic Centers to make finding related content even easier to make lesson planning a snap. It’s been incredibly gratifying to see how these bundles have empowered educators.
